Mini Masterpiece

"In many ways one of his most brilliant quirky albums. "Come" is an exciting concept album that flows from everything to sex to abuse to racism to even more sex. The songs not only work great as written poetry but as great R&B music. The album starts out with the sex fest that is "Come" that is extremely long at over 10 minutes but is beat for beat hot rhythms. Followed is the even hotter "Pheromone". Great social commentary's come in the form of the story song "Papa" ("don't abuse your kids, or they'll end up like me.") and the awesome funk rap of "Race" ("I bleed, you bleed. Both the bold is red. Get it"). "Letitgo" is one of those great R&B gems that just doesn't get the radio play it deserves. It's a great funky number and is extremely heartfelt at the same time. "Orgasm" speaks for itself and is just a sex scene with some Prince music in the background. Talk about the conclusion. Maybe the best song on the set is a small gem that just hides within the middle. It's an electronic song called "Loose!" which pulsates with hot dance grooves and tons of funk. The CD is almost worth it just for that track. The album is full of not only great feeling and hot R&B sounds but has light faire like the mellow "Solo" and R&B ballad "Space". It's also Prince's last record and a great ending to an awesome career. The Artist has made some great stuff, but I think this Prince record is nearly untouchable. Eccentric music and creative stuff."

"Maybe if u stop comparing Prince albums to other Prince albumsu might find some redemption in his most recent work. Come hassome fantastic material on it. I actually consider this one of my favourite Prince albums. Just like the song "dark", it is prolific in it's description of this album. It is indeed "dark". The haunting tune "solo" is a great acapella that transcends u into a dreary isolated world, rain included. It has some poetic lines that chill your soul. "My name is no one?" Can u beat that? "Loose" is Prince's stab at the dance techno genre, and it absolutely rockz. "Pheremone" is arguably the best song Prince has ever recorded, "Papa" is a ode to the fathers of the world who like to beat their children. This song villafies them, with biting avengence. Do I need to go on about the rest of the trax? Yes eye do! "dark" has a mesmorizing keyboard hook that makes u swoon with delight, "Race", (the jughead of this album) combines a message with a beat! "Orgasm", well. do i need to go there? And "come" a prince anthem, an epic of a song that kicks off this 3 ring circus, a 10 minute jam, a 10 dollar groove. "Space" ...a melody that melts u with every listen, again it sends a shock and a chill as it fills the space of your brain. If u are unfunky, don't bother comin' to tha Come Experience. If u dig a mix of jammin Prince toonz, stay awhile. Listen to tha lyrics, jam to tha original beats of "Prince's" last album. And check out the killa killa jacket design. Gothic Prince? U gotta love that. The pix in the liner notes are fantastic! Spooky Prince, rest in peace."
Possibly the best Prince album

"Heres my story, i was sitting around one night with my good friend rob and he had just bought the Prince 'Come' album. Now I had never heard a song off it, all I knew is it was the album he made with the deliberate intention of pissing off his record company, and in turn what proceeded to come from the speakers was the most original and diverse sounding album i had ever heard. To say that these songs are unmemorable is baffling, this album jumps from industrial techno 'Loose' to 'Papa' with the deep bass keeping the tempo Prince proceedes to scream "SMACK SMACK! ew papa papa" making it the darkest Prince song ive heard with the exception of the secret track on New Power Soul, and then into 'Solo' which is just him singing while slowly strumming a harp. And why not end an album with 'Orgasm' which is pretty much exactly what the song is, a female orgasming for around a minute. I remember hearing this album and hearing something i had never expected to hear in music in general, let alone a Prince album. Hearing this album made me wish he would get angry with record companies more, it forced him to step outside the normal Prince. Buy this album, it is like no other Prince album you have in your collection and its one of the bests."
