"I have had this disc for a number of years and it is definitely one of my favorites. As a longtime student of music and the cello, this album has opened musical doors that I had never dreamed of being raised on more traditional classical pieces. The composition of each work is impeccable and Isserlis and Mustonen perform the music to its full potential. If you are unfamiliar with the work of these composers or the cello & piano sonata medium, definitely check out this CD. It is worth many listens."
