CD Reviews

This album is by far one of the best out there.

"Being a fan of both Deadguy and Kiss it Goodbye I was instantly intrigued by this CD which was sitting in the Kiss it Goodbye section of the local record store. Knowing that both bands that I mentioned are phenomonial in what they do I immediately brought it to the counter and paid for it. If you have heard either Kiss it Goodbye or Deadguy you would know that they are normally classified as "hardcore". Normally "hardcore" isn't my bag, but I do make exceptions in cases where the band is just so damn good....like Deadguy and Kiss it Goodbye. Playing Enemy is what I would consider to be better than both Kiss it Goodbye and Deadguy, but that is just my opinion. We all have an opinion.
Playing Enemy not only has one hell of a singer but they have smart, intricate riffs that are not only intelligent but at the same time devastating (which by the way is no easy task). If you have an ear and a brain when it comes to music you will definately appreciate everything Playing Enemy has to offer. If you are not into studying music and are more into thrashing, bashing, and smashing then my friend this is your band. Last but not least if you just want some good tunes to chill out to you should check this out. You cannot go wrong with this album."
Heavy.

"In the vein of Melvins, Jesus Lizard, Craw and Dazzling Killmen this was forged. Many hours. Many notes. My labor of love. This became bigger than myself...."
