"Awesome album. Tighter production than on "Hope for Men". Pissed Jeans' typically hilarious and thought provoking lyrics delivered in a soul wounded howl. Great stuff! I can think of a few influences: Flipper, Melvins, Jesus Lizard, but done in a unique style. Those are just sonic touchstones."
Pissed Jeans' best yet.

"This is a major improvement over their last album. I wasn't as impressed with Hope for Men as others were. It had a few great tracks, but was uneven overall. King of Jeans is better on every front: production, songwriting, lyrics, EVERYTHING. Mean-spirited, loud, sludgy, funny, noisy indie rock like they used to make back in the day. A great throwback to Sub Pop's pre-grunge explosion years and one of this year's best albums."
