CD Reviews

Something for the DJs...

"If you're a DJ, I would recommend this Maxi CD, it has many tracks to offer, just look at the track listing.Track 01: Most Girls (Skribble & Anthony Acid Club Mix)(8:54)- Good track mixed by DJ Skribble & Anthony Acid. Great strings & keyboards that would keep the party goin'. No DJ should not go on without this track.Track 02: Most Girls (Skribble & Anthony Acid's Hard Girls Dub)(7:32)- This track is bad. Soft, not really danceable. You can barely hear Pink's vocals, it's in the background faintly. I recommend you skip this track.Track 03: Most Girls (Instrumental) (5:03)- An instrumental of Most Girls. Great even without Pink's vocals. Sounds kinda classical, and with listening closely, you could hear most instruments.Track 04: Most Girls (Acapella) (4:30)- This is another track for those DJs, for remixing though (since it doesn't have any vocal instruments, like acapellas by boy bands.)Track 05: There You Go (Hani Mixshow Edit)(5:32)- Good, light, clubbish track mixed by Hani. Again something to dance to.A good Maxi by Pink, recommended to any Pink fans & DJs."

Not what a maxi-single is all about

"Don't get me wrong, Most Girls is one of the most catchiest tunes from Pink's debut album Can't Take Me Home. It mixes a whole bunch of genres of music together, the way the operatic chorus, hip hop, classical and rock all melt into one is probably what gives this track some style. But, when you purchase a maxi single you want more, that is why they are made...The Acid mix of this single is fast, danceable, and groovy, but that is where this single stops. The other tracks, a dub version (what are those all about?), the acapella version, sure, it is nice, but give me some more danceable tracks, and the bonus mix version of There You Go is nice. It leaves you wanting more of Pink on the dance floor. This track could have been a killer remix, but it stopped short of that. Buy the CD if you are a diehard Pink fan, skip it if you think you are getting more out of Most Girls!"
