CD Reviews

Wow!

"This CD is just incredible.

I ordered it recently right in the middle of a hard time I was going through.

It arrived in the mail on one of my worst days. I got by myself and popped it in. I felt to go to the song "Blessing in the Thorn". I'd heard it before, as one of my friends sings it often, but it really never meant as much as it did the other day. I sat there and completely lost it. It was just that good.

*Pray Me Home is just gorgeous.

*New Mercy reminded me that whatever I may do, God's grace covers me even then.

And as for upbeat songs, there's plenty of them, but I think the best PCD ones are the worshipful songs to be really honest. There's just something about them.

This is incredible and I encourage you to experience them for yourself."
The Best of PCD (to date!)

"PCD first came to my attention with their song "Ready for the Rain" on the TRUST (To Rest Upon Sure Things) CD. I'd listen to the local Moody station on the way home from church, and this song got played a lot and I liked the message. As time went by, I not only got TRUST, but also earlier albums and Greatest Songs of All; finally I bought Where Strength Begins. At first I didn't like it; they'd changed labels and producers and their sound. I wanted what they'd been doing -- straight-up, hard-driving (in most cases) three-part harmonies and songs with certain answers. It took a while, but I finally really listened to this CD and what it said. The songs on this album are the most honest, heartfelt songs I think PCD has done to date. Honest because there are: questions with no easy answers (Blessing in the Thorn, Pray Me Home); intense, heartfelt prayers of gratitude for grace, mercy and forgiveness (This Is How It Feels To Be Free) and for help in our Christian walk (Where Strength Begins, New Mercy); and calls for Christians to stand up and be counted, to state with certainty and faith that there is only One Way (Just One, A Time Such As This, Made Up Mind). If you're a long-time fan of PCD and you're not sure about this CD because it isn't TRUST or Lifeline, give it a chance. It's really their strongest CD ever."
Simply wonderful! This group's music is a great blessing.

"Once again, PC&D has touched my heart with their inspired lyrics and unique and beautiful harmonies. These gifted artists have graced my Christian walk with their songs. "The Blessing in the Thorn" speaks clearly to anyone who has ever experienced life's deepest pain. I believe God uses music to minister to our soul. He is using these men in a mighty way."
