"Moving by Peter, Paul & Mary should not be an out of print CD. Their music is invariably good and I can only hope that this comes back into print very soon. Peter, Paul & Mary could take a folk song and deliver it with the best of them; I definitely rank them high in my book. The quality of the sound is excellent and that artwork copies the original artwork on the record album jacket.

"Settle Down (Goin' Down That Highway)" has great guitar work and Peter, Paul & Mary harmonize this very well. Some bars are sung by just one of these three artists; and when they come together it packs a punch! "Settle Down (Goin' Down That Highway)" is classic folk music and I'm very impressed. There's also "Gone The Rainbow;" Mary's portion of this song is charming and the chorus is impeccable. "Gone The Rainbow" gets a very sensitive treatment from Peter, Paul & Mary and this works well for this number.

"Flora" is a very pretty tune that has Peter, Paul & Mary squarely front and center--right where they belong. "Flora" is an interesting song about a love relationship and I think you'll like it if classic folk music is your cup of tea. "Pretty Mary" has a fine guitar arrangement; and my very favorite song on this album is definitely "Puff, The Magic Dragon." Many people have debated the true meaning of this song; but I think the meaning is pretty much what Peter, Paul & Mary sing about--it's on a literal level even though you could interpret the lyrics more than one way. "Puff, The Magic Dragon" is also an interesting coming of age story told from the perspective of the toy that a young boy plays with and eventually discards as he gets older; and that's extremely creative.

Of course, "This Land Is Your Land" shines very brightly on this album; it's easily a major highlight of this CD and Peter, Paul & Mary certainly do this one up right! I always liked "This Land Is Your Land" and this trio of performers does it great justice. In addition, "Old Coat" has still more incredible guitar work as they perform this to perfection and beyond. "Big Boat" mixes folk music with just a touch of country to make this ballad stand out--and it works very well. "Morning Train" plays with both major and minor keys to create a memorable, artistic effect; and the album ends strong with Peter, Paul & Mary doing "A'Soalin." "A'Soalin" has great harmonizing and that melody is very sweet.

Moving showcases Peter, Paul & Mary at their very best. Although they always sounded great, this album is truly a gem. I highly recommend it for fans of Peter, Paul & Mary; and people who like classic folk music will enjoy this album, too.

"My parents had this LP and I grew up listening to it. When I heard of Mary Travers passing, it made me nostalgic for the album. I didn't think I would be able to find it in CD form and was pleasantly surprised when I did. This is such a great album! My husband groaned something about "folk music", but I wouldn't label it as such. After listening to it, even he was converted! The harmonies are beautiful and the songs are haunting. Better than I remembered!"
