"Yes being Pet Shop Boys 10th studio album and 2009 release and is a mix of synthpop and pop. The album has spawned 4 singles. These being "Love etc", "Did you see me coming", "Beautiful people" and "All over the world". The album was a world wide smash hit and peaked in the top ten in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the UK. All the lyrics are included in the booklet along with a list for each track of whom plays what. Allmusic gave this release 3.5/5 and Rolling Stone 3/5. I think it is slightly better and give it a 4. 4/5."
Let's hope they keep making more music like this.

"I wasn't a big fan of the Pet Shop Boys in the 80's. I liked alternative and heard most of their stuff, but they always seemed a little too fluffy to me. I realize they've been big in Europe for years but I just couldn't get into them. So this was the first album I bought from them and I must say, I was truly amazed. I do quite a bit of research to find good music and I bought this album with a bit of trepidation. But I can honestly say this was my favorite album for 2009. It is amazing. I've even tried listening to some of their older music but their newest is still the best (IMO). I just hope this is a sign of things to come and not the flash of a setting sun. Check out "Minimal" on one of their single B-sides also for more of the same. I never thought I'd say it but the PET SHOP BOYS rock!"
You dont know what you have until it gone...

"PSB have always been on my favorite band list. Yes seals the deal as the greatest band of my time. It has 11 catchy tunes that happily are stuck in my head. In this age of internet downloads, I am sure glad to have a hard copy of this valuable collection of pop songs. The Way It Used To Be reflects the sad state of affairs in the music industry which reflected our society for over 50 years in the English speaking world. Fashion, hair styles, posters and most of all the music on the radio or MTV all added to our culture. They are the last of thier kind-the classic pop band-which has become an endangered species.

Yes contains hope that our pop culture isnt over. It sold a lot of copies-mostly in The UK, Europe and Asia. PSB are now a one hit wonder in the USA. In club and dance circles they thrive. Internationally, they thrive. This record should have been the awarded a Grammy for best album! It was ignored. No American artist can hold a candle to PSB.

The entire record is epic in scale! More Than A Dream contains more hope than they have ever recorded. Pandemonium pulses powereful dance beats. Legacy reveals more about our current society than we care to notice. Socially, Yes is still relevant. The politics are toned down. These tunes seem to be written for the fans. I relate entirely. Oh Yes, the dance mixes on the bonus disc are Absolutely Fabulous!!!"
