Originally released in 1996, Datapanik In The Year Zero is a four disc box set that collects the American Post-Punk band's recorded output, spanning the years 1978-82 on the first three discs and ties up early and rare loose ends on the fourth and final disc. When first released, this set also contained a 17 track live CD which is excluded from this reissued edition. From their inception over three decades ago, Pere Ubu have continued to amaze and confuse the listener with music that is often-times challenging but always with a purpose. Though they never achieved massive sales, their influence on today's Alternative scene is undeniable.
