Paul Weston "Easy Listening"
05/30/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I've enjoyed listening to this recording in college, in the late 50's and was fortunate to locate it agin at Amazon. It is a wonderful example of the beautiful music that came out of the 40's and early 50's. It is relaxing and captivating at the same time. Paul Weston does a worderful job on such standards as "I cover the waterfront", "Laura" etc. We've ordered CD's for our friends to enjoy, and they all loved it."
Typical Weston - Great!

"This is Paul Weston at his best. The selection of songs, the arrangements and the general mood this music places you in is excellent. This is the kind of music that allows you sit back and just enjoy or to have playing quietly in the background while reading or doing other things. Paul Weston never seemed to receive enough credit for his arranging. This recording shows how good he was. He takes these old and very familiar standards and gives them the interpretations they deserve. I have been listening to my album for years, and now that it is available on CD to enjoy in all its clarity, I couldn't be happier. Just listen to the sample of 'You Go To My Head,' and you will see what I mean."

"I grew up with this one. My parents had it in a boxed set of 45s that I eventually wore out. Every time I listen, it brings them back to me. Thank you so much for having Paul Weston's music.

PS, I also learned to dance to it!.

Thanx for the memories"
