Synopsis

Album Description
Paul Cardall delivers a masterful album which takes listeners on a spiritual journey. Inspired by Nineteenth Century Scottish, English, and American folk music, comes the melodies sung by choirs and congregations in Christian churches throughout the world. Through the understated simplicity of a solo piano Paul's elegant performance of 14 hymn arrangements and 2 original compositions reach deep into the human soul. This extraordinary beautiful, yet simple, album reflect a stream of inspired melodies which celebrate religious freedom. This echoes peace to the very soul.

Sincerity, Healing, A Few of The Powerful Emotions!
Trent Smith | Hartford, CT | 12/09/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"His album of Hymns, like all of his other records, is simply the most relaxing music around. Paul's unexplainable ability to transfer powerful feelings of emotion by touching piano keys is amazing to me. Although I never thought of a New Age musician as one who would record a Christian album, I was please to learn about this one. His version of, Nearer My God To Thee, which parenthetically, was the same Hymn used by James Horner in the movie Titanic as people prepared to meet their God, is simply beautiful. Each piano composition is full of genuine sincerity that will strike an emotional chord with anyone who has a sophisticatic listnership. Sincerity, Healing, are just a few of the powerful emotions expressed eloquently in this album by Paul Cardall."
