LESS THAN THE SONG(written by Hoyt Axton) and I MAY NOT BE LOVIN' YOU were both country hits for Patti. Patti's covers of LAUGHTER IN THE RAIN and TELL ME HOW THE STORY ENDS are especially well done. Tom T. Hall's THE TREES OF PHILADELPHIA is also a treat. Patti caresses the lyrics of these songs as if they'd been especially written for her. For those who have only heard her recordings from the 50s and 60s...these country recordings will be a special treat. Patti was not only actively performing during the 70s but she was also recording regularly with Nashville as her base. Here is a little taste of what she was up to then."
