GREAT PURCHASE AND GREAT MEMORIES

"This product makes me remember my childhood 8-10, when the Partridge Family TV program was on air, with great success. All the hits are wonderful, very much recommended for fans of this group. Unfortunately Susan Dey, one of its members passed away, between the end of 1980's and begining of 1990's.

"This release was the fourth album by the infamous Partridge Family. The first few had A++++ quality bubblegum pop. So much effort for a group where only David Cassidy and Shirly Jones from the show actually performed. A treat for fans. The Partridge Family was fun, infectuous and even romantic in an innocent way.

On this album the quality of music dwindled a little but it is still a lot of fun. TAKE GOOD CARE OF HER, MAYBE SOMEDAY, SOMETHING'S WRONG and AS LONG AS YOU'RE THERE stand out. The remake of the classic WE GOTTA GET OUT OF THIS PLACE is excellent and LOOKING THROUGH THE EYES OF LOVE uses the background vocals to maximum bubblegum pop glory.

If you grew up on The Partridge Family this cd is a must have. Memories galore and music that will make you smile. The remastering on this cd is superb. Highly recommend."
One of the Partridge Family's best, and most underrated...

"This is one of the Partridge Family's latter day albums, and it's one of their most underrated. The first song, Friend and a Lover, is an awesome song with a truly killer guitar riff. It sounds surprising that a Partridge Family song would have a killer guitar riff, but it does. It's one of my favorite Partridge Family songs. Shockingly, when it was released as a single, it only hit #99. Bummer. There are other great songs on this album, specifically the excellent Walking in the Rain and the wonderful, tuneful as hell Together We're Better. The cover of We Gotta Get Outta This Place is not going to replace the Animals' great version, but it's still decent. This CD has the U.K. cover, as opposed to the original vinyl US release, which was just a picture of a notebook with no picture. It's a real bargain, too. If you dig the bubblegum music of the Partridge Family like I do, buy this right now."
