"A more than equal follow up to 'Giornata Storica'. The Italian sister's show amazing maturity on this album compared to the schoolgirl voices in their previous material. Paola e Chiara are the most talented vocal duo in Europe at the moment and have the most soothing voices that can stir up any kind of emotion.Apart from the obvious hits 'Vamos a Bailar' and 'Fino Alle Fine' there is also a deeply moving set of longing and melancholy tracks, namely 'Piu Forte di Te' and 'Anni Luce'..if these 2 songs don't give you goosebumps, then you must have left your heart somewhere else!Paola e Chiara, quite frankly, have the voices of angels and this album is a true testament to their original song writing abilities and their touching voices..even if you don't speak Italian, you will hear an unparalelled passion in their music."

"One word to describe this is bellisima! The first time I heard the music of the Iezzi sisters, Paola and Chiara, I fell in love with their upbeat and sophisticated european songs. When you hear Vamos a Bailar, you couldn't help but dance (which is what the title hopes for). For anyone who is looking for nice Italian music, this CD is a nice introduction.



A little background on some of the songs:



Vamos a Bailar is shot in a sophisticated beach house, but there has been debate within the fan sites whether it was in Ibiza or Capri. The song is actually about dance and how it pervades our daily lives. It is actually an invitation to make dance a part of our lives. This was widely popular in Europe the summer it was released and you'll see why once you listen to it.



Amoremidai literally means "You give me love" in Italian and the whole premise of the song is, as long as you give me love, I will be fine. Such powerful statements about love abound in this CD. I don't know if that's typically Italian or if it's just them, but it makes for such powerful music. By the way, this song was an award winning song of Paola e Chiara, and it won in the San Remo competition, one of the most prestigious music competitions in Italy. Also, although you wouldn't know it from the video, it was shot in Paris.



Viva el Amor is such a lovely song. Its the type of song that won't get boring, even though you've heard like a thousand times. Just a little trivia. The song is actually a prayer, meant to protect us from sadness and give us hope. The song is so full of imagery and symbolisms and it gives us an idea how powerful love and yearning is. "perché nessuno potrà mai dividermi più da me, sento il mio cuore che batte più forte"



The first three are probably the most popular in the CD and have been the first three songs that made me fall in love with the duet in the first place (so naturally, I know a lot about these three). However, don't think that the other songs in the album are not worth listening to. The album offers such variety in terms of mood that you'd be left wanting more. Giornata Storica, which is their first album, is very much Celtic in inspiration, and in this CD, you can here traces of that previous style. Although not as strong, the Celtic flavor found in this CD is refreshing. Anos Luz provides a more contemplative mood for the listener. Melancholy in a sense, but overall, it is absolutely beautiful.



The songs in the CD actually came in three versions, in Italian, Spanish and English. The CD only contains two versions of Anni Luce (Anos Luz in Spanish), Viky in Spanish and the rest of the songs in Italian. The CD also contains remix version of Vamos a Bailar (Bahia Sun gives the song a Samba Bossa Nova flavor), as well as remix versions of Fino alla Fine (which has one line in French) and Amoremidai. The songs are quite fashionable (they seem to be connected with Dolce and Gabbana, not sure though) and would be nice for a party of one or a million. The CD contains a video of Vamos a Bailar (which is not to be missed), but I seem not to be able to play it. It doesn't work in DVD or in the computer, which is bizarre. The CD doesn't provide information how to play the video, or what requirements you should have to play it, so you might find it frustrating, but if you're able to play it, it would be totally worth it.



Television by Paola e Chiara is definitely one of the best CDs to have come from Italy. I am quite happy to own this extraordinary CD. Trust me, you won't be disappointed with the Iezzi sisters!"

"Highly successful CD from Italian sisters Paola e Chiara. Very European pop. Hits: Fino alla Fine, Viva el Amor and Vamos a Bailar. The last two were also released in English and Spanish and were very popular in Ibiza 2001. The album was also rereleased with additional remixed versions of Viva el Amor and Fino alla Fine. Video for Vamos a Bailar was shot at the beautiful Isle of Capri in Italy. Italo pop at its finest!!!"
