CD Reviews

Bobby osbornes tenor is with out question one of the best.
01/22/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The songs are done in the powerfull tenor sound that only Bobby posseses, and with the ever present driving banjo of brother Sonny the Osborne Brothers redo the classics of old with their flair and style that is still with them today. The songs are just great, Like Bluegrass Express, that is very hard driving along with Once more which was sung from the heart, this album seems to cover all the bases and shows what bluegrass is all about. the vocal blend they have is unmistakable. Bobby Osborne in my opinion is one of if not the best tenor singer of all time. Bill Monroe created bluegrass tenor. Bobby Osborne perfected it. This album shows how great this brother act is, was, and allways will be, it is said that a great tenor comes a long once about every ten years, so listen. And realise what has been known for years, that Bobby and Sonny are bluegrass music, and this album proves it."
Sonny Osborne Strikes Again

(5 out of 5 stars)

"There is no one who can pick a banjo like Sonny Osborne. If you want fast and furious, slow and dreamy or even the blues, he can and does deliver. This particular set shows off his abilities in great style. Set back and enjoy."
No Rocky Top

(4 out of 5 stars)

"Great CD, but Amazon's song list is wrong. This disk does NOT include Rocky Top. As a Vol fan, this song was one I really wanted, and as you can guess, I was really disappointed that it wasn't included. But, the Bluegrass is great listenin' anyhow."
