This live concert was recorded in May 2003 at NYC's downtown avant-garde club, Tonic. It was mixed by Billy Martin & Mike Fossenkemper (Bill Laswell, Herbie Hancock, DJ Krush, Carl Craig, Prince Paul, Teo Macero) and recorded live by David Baker (Medeski Martin & Wood, Jack DeJohnette). G. Calvin Weston and Billy Martin's musical brotherhood started in 1987 in John Lurie's Lounge Lizards and The John Lurie National Orchestra. G. Calvin Weston was a big part of Ornette Coleman's Prime Time band and the harmolodic funk movement of the '70s.
