Synopsis

Album Description
Double drums...but not like you've heard them before, except maybe a rare Milton Graves percussion duet with equal strength DJ magic added. You get moody abstract colors, textures and avant-funk jaunts that are dark and explosive. 'For No One In Particular' can be very cinematic, yet you will groove to it like angels and demons at play. It also has the drive of harcore punk rock when it gets rolling. Plus, DJ Logic's fans haven't heard a feature album in two years! This live concert was recorded in May 2003 at NYC's downtown avant-garde club, Tonic. It was mixed by Billy Martin & Mike Fossenkemper (Bill Laswell, Herbie Hancock, DJ Krush, Carl Craig, Prince Paul, Teo Macero) and recorded live by David Baker (Medeski Martin & Wood, Jack DeJohnette). G. Calvin Weston and Billy Martin's musical brotherhood started in 1987 in John Lurie's Lounge Lizards and The John Lurie National Orchestra. G. Calvin Weston was a big part of Ornette Coleman's Prime Time band and the harmolodic funk movement of the '70s.
