CD Reviews

Weak vocals, and a tad off-key
C. J. Trayser | Woodstock, GA United States | 02/28/2002
(2 out of 5 stars)

"I purchased both this CD and the 'One Size Fits All' album. Although all the songs were interesting and fun to listen to, the vocals on 'The Nylons' were weak and a little bit off-key. I was disappointed with the album. BUT, the 'One Size Fits All' album was much crisper and the voices were much better blended and in-tune on all the songs. Given a choice between these two, the 'One Size' album obviously 'Fits All' I expect in vocals and a cappela singing...I'd suggest you consider that one before this one."
Turned me onto the Nylons
James Arnold | Kansas City, KS | 09/08/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This album was the one that brought me to love the Nylons. A Million Ways has a softness and flow to the chords that is unrivaled. Somethin' Bout Cha is impossible to not groove into. It's a great song. This is the original foursome at their best. I would rather have this album than any of the others."
Nobody Runs Like The Nylons!
Catherine A. Edwards | Norfolk, VA | 06/30/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"If you don't know who The Nylons are, you have been missing out! This self-titled debut album (1982) features this Canadian a cappella group's signature sound with songs like "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and "Up On the Roof." The infectious du-wop sound and stellar vocals make this an album anyone can enjoy. Using only percussion and incredible vocal talent, this group delivers. If you like a cappella groups, you'll love The Nylons. If you don't, this album will hook you for life. Run on out and buy it."
