"Norah Jones' music is mellow and laid-back, it's true. But it's also very good indeed, which is why she was Billboard Number 1 with this album. Soulful, talented, different - excellent."

"The stupid reviewer below me who doesn't know why this "junk" is selling should take a hint from all the Grammys she won! All of the tracks on this album are excellent and they all come together splendidly to create one immensely enjoyable CD, and What Am I To You? is a great non-commercial track available on this disc only. Here is my review of the standard disc:This debut is unspeakably outstanding. Norah is the best new artist to come out in 2002; she is neck-and-neck with Avril Lavigne. Make no mistake of course, their music is very different. (Incidentally, I bought both their albums the same day.) Norah's amazing voice permeates this exquisite album; she has the absolute best voice to emerge in the music industry for a very long time. It is descriptive and lush, relentlessly upbeat while at the same time beautifully laid back and relaxed. Her band is also wonderfully fresh-sounding, making this album likable even by fans of acoustic folk rock. Jones ebbs in and out of excellent new songs written by other artists for her, excellent new songs written by herself (including the outstanding title track), as well as fantastic standards such as the outstanding closing track THE NEARNESS OF YOU. Other excellent highlights include FEELIN THE SAME WAY "Another day that I can't find my head My feet don't look like they're my own I try and find the floor below to stand I hope I reach it once again", SEVEN YEARS "Fragile as a leaf in autumn falling to the ground without a sound Crooked little smile on her face tells a tale of grace that's all her own", and NIGHTINGALE "Tell me your tale Was your journey far too long Does it seem like I'm looking for an answer To a question I can't ask I don't know which way the feather falls If I should blow it to the left". Of course, all the songs are excellent here; there is no filler, but I thought I'd just give you a taste of what YOU SHOULD be purchasing. Don't purchase this album at your own risk is all I have to say."
