Glorious Chopin from a mysteriously obscure pianist

"Brigitte Engerer is an astonishing pianist who for some reason has released very few disks. Her performance of the nocturnes is as gorgeous and poetic as any ever recorded. The playing is beautifully subtle without any of the excessive rubato that so often plagues Chopin playing (i.e., Horowitz)."
