Before I mellowed a little...

"I first heard this at my friends house on vinyl. I'm not sure if this is exactly the same because this has more tracks I think. I could be wrong though because the songs are very short and to the point. I remember the album cover had pictures of the "Manson family" on it and each one of them had a red X marking out their faces. I remember being blown away at how genuinely mad the vocalist sounded and how decent the band was, especially the drummer. It's definitely not a band I would put in the same arena as Blink 182. After you hear it you'll understand what I mean. This band stood out to me as being genuine in their energy and drive. It's like they had good reasons for being angry and it came across honestly. Unlike certain bands today that act angry to get paid and get the fans to believe that theyre hurting too. Face it, you can't be too angry when you get paid tons to hit guitars and yell. Negative Fx obviously didnt make any money off this and no one has heard of it so it has that going for it. A hardcore classic."

"This is true Boston hardcore with "CHOKE" from Slapshot screaming lyrics. If you like Warzone or Agnostic Front,You will love this CD."
Simple, effective Boston hardcore

"Not unlike other early 80s hardcore bands like SOA and early SSD, Negative FX is blazing fast, heavy-handed and intense. Part of the Boston hardcore boom which yielded, I think, the best hardcore ever had to offer (just check out "This is Boston, Not LA," Jerry's Kids' "Is This My World" and SSD's "The Kids Will Have Their Say" to see what I mean), Negative FX only played a handful of shows, but their recorded legacy is more than enough to cement their place as one of the better punk bands operating in the 80s. This CD hols everything they put to tape, and it's f-in great. It's thrashy stuff, and you can hear Negative FX's influence in many, many hardcore punk/thrash bands which came afterwards like Infest, Crossed Out and Voorhees. Last Rights, a band that emerged from the ashes of Negative FX and featured the imfamous Choke on vocals (later of Slapshot and Stars and Stripes... luckily, from what I can tell, there's no bonehead nationalist lyrics here) is a little more Oi! influenced, slower and polished, but still raw hardcore and pretty good. Still, the Negative FX tracks really stand out. Jeezus, just listen to the drums... so fast, so fast! Most songs zing by in less than a minute, but that's how I like it.For fans of Negative Approach, SSD, Agnostic Front, and anything fast, ..... and raw. Hell yeah."
