"Made in USA in 2003, Serial# 06076-86328-2, Playing Time 53:41This is another CD in the "Then And Now" series... as is often (but not always) the case, the music on the "compilation" is taken from 2 albums: in this case, the poorly recorded "Back In The Trenches" is represented by the first 6 tracks on this disc, and each of these live versions will cause you to run and put on the studio version in order to soothe your brain and remember how those songs are supposed to sound. The next 6 tracks on "Then And Now" are taken from the 1999 album "Boogaloo". An album that had it's ups and downs, but any track from that album sounds better than the live recordings taken from "Back To The Trenches" (and no, the fact that the live tracks date back to the early 80's is no excuse!)I suggest you stay away from this disc: it's not a "best of", it doesn't cover a wide array of albums either... quite useless.I'm sure some people will look at the track listing thinking they'll be putting their hands on a "fresh" greatest hits: trust me, this ain't it... not by a long shot. Only buy this if you find the cover irresistible, and then again, perhaps a used copy will do the trick!"
"NOT WHAT I EXPECTED!"

"A great Classic Rock band but this CD doesn't do them justice. The material comes from just two albums and the live stuff is really badly recorded. Some songs sound like they were recorded in MONO not in STEREO. Get their "SNAZ" live album instead. Much, much better than this CD. The other songs are studio tracks from their "BOGALOO" release in '99. Not my favorite by far. For a complete Nazareth collection, I would also recommend getting the "Heavy Metal" soundtrack. It has one of my favorite Nazareth songs on it---"Crazy (A suitable case for treatment)"."
