"Been waiting for this LP to hit CD for years. Why is it (this much), though? Still worth it. Manieri is one of the premier vibes players you've never heard of. Saw him and an all-star band (Gadd, Spinnoza, Levin & Tee) in a local club in the mid-70's and was blown away. A fan ever since. Love "Easy to please", the close of that cut is absolutely phenomenal. How is it possible to move the mallets that fast? Hampton and Tjader have nothing on Manieri. Give it a try, it's the best mix of jazz/rock going played by quintessential pros. Enjoy"

"Somehow, through friends, I got "Love Play" as a promotional LP. This album has stayed in my closet for years so I would be reminded periodically to look for it on the internet. I was thrilled to find it today. Manieri's virtuosity is enchanting, entrancing and uplifting. I remember I enjoyed all the cuts and I can't wait to receive my CD and hear them again."
