"How is it that I'm the first person to review this album? This is a fantastic CD, period. This is their follow up to the cassette only first release titled: "Revolution" and a big step forward for this band. If you visit mightypurple.com you'll see that throughout their career they've strived to make music that is unique, that grows and matures as they have grown and matured.

To simply say that they don't sound like other bands out there is to do them a great injustice. Their sound is unique. While some would be content to lump them into the category of 90's alternative I challenge somebody to dig me up a CD that rivals BOHICA's unique strong structure and John's outrageously good guitar work. While he does not sing much on this record (which is a shame as he does a great job of harmonizing with his brother, Steve, on later albums) his playing is inspired. Many of these songs, though 12 years old now, still feel fresh in a way and can still be heard during live shows.

Fortunately for me I got this album from my friend who went to the BOHICA CD release party and have enjoyed it for the past 12 years. If you've enjoyed Match box 20, Coldplay, Toad the Wet Sprocket, REM or Pearl Jam and haven't heard Mighty Purple before this album is well worth your time and money."
