"MICHEL BERGER was a producer,a writer and a composer.He was the man responsable for VERONIQUE SANSON's beginnings,FRANCE GALL's second career, and he also wrote somesongs for JOHNNY HALLYDAY and FRANCOISE HARDY.MICHEL is also the composer of the classic rock opera STARMANIA.He has however had less success as a solo performer, but this collection is not to be missed at any cost if you like him.Hearing him sing POUR ME COMPRENDRE and LA GROUPIE DU PIANISTE is a wonderful experience ,because if you heard them from somebody else ,you'll notice that MICHEL brings his own personal sad touch that succeeds in moving you."

"This CD by Michel Berger contains 18 of his big hits. There is a good collection and a good variety of soft rock songs on this CD. My favorite is " Celui qui chante " (the man who sings)because of the beautiful and meaningful lyrics in which Berger defines the status of the singer in our society: " the man who sings reaches the sky and makes the eternal order move; he is happy, unhappy like us, he looks after what he wants like us but something takes him above us. The man who sings has looks of true happiness in his eyes ""
