Synopsis

Product Description
Claudio Merulo (1533-1694) was known for his innovative keyboard style. As an important organist, composer, and publisher in Late-Renaissance Italy, he received the post of organist of the San Marco in Venice. This album contains three masses by the composer. His compositional style alternates the organ and the choir in the different mass sections. These works are sung by In Dulci Jubilo, conducted by Alberto Turco. The organist featured here is Frederico Del Sordo.
