Synopsis

Product Description
From acclaimed composer Michael Giacchino (The Incredibles, TV's Alias, Lost, video games Medal Of Honor and Secret Weapons Over Normandy) and composer Chris Tilton comes this thrilling, epic orchestral score to the pulse-pounding new LucasArts videogame Mercenaries. Mr. Giacchino's rousing, signature themes propel the action-packed scenarios of this sensational military adventure video game. This robust music, expertly performed by The Northwest Sinfonia, rivals any big-budget Hollywood action-thriller/adventure.

CD Reviews

Great Game=Great Soundtrack
DerFrownmacher | 06/07/2005
(4 out of 5 stars)

"This soundtrack perfectly fits the epic feel of the game, which, if you didn't know, is a free-roaming adventure (along the lines of GTA) that takes place in a war-torn North Korea. The top-notch instrumental score is occassionally accompanied by a chorus, and the music never succumbs to the synthesizer-intensive techno that dominates many games."
Simply great!
Michael S. Smith | Keizer, OR | 10/25/2005
(4 out of 5 stars)

"If you love action soundtracks, then this is the one to get to add to your collection. It's very hard to believe this is coming from a game. It's made me wonder what the game must be like, with so much action music and intensity blasting through the speakers.

Usually you would have to wait until the "summer movies" came out to find the really cool, and inspring soundtracks to be released that were filled with action and heart pounding adrenaline.

Game soundtracks now, simply fill that gap. DOn't think that this soundtrack is all digital, campy or synthetic in its sound. It feels and sounds like a full blown orchestra. The budget for the music production must have been robust.

Pick it up, you will not regret it."
Soundtrack Is Great!

"I don't own the soundtrack, but I have spend countless hours on the game, And this is NOT video game music. An entire band must be playing it, with no computer help!"
