CD Reviews

"The best of Megadeth - not a greatest hits album..."
bulltoro | Berazategui, Argentina | 03/11/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"...this is the way Dave Mustaine (Vocalist and Guitarrist) described the first compilation after eight Megadeth albums were released. "It's not a greatest hits album, because if it were we should have put in it just five or six tunes; but we decided to compile simply the best of Megadeth...", according to these words Megadeth pretends to get through the fans with the latests singles and with some of the well-known thrashing metal tunes. Any fan would love this CD."
A good collection.

"Not their best, however. Their best is Rust In piece and Peac Sells, but this is a moderate collection of the Megadeth we grew up with and loved. I knew that Hanger 18 and Peace sells were going to be on the album, but no "Take No Prisoners?" However, the two new tracks really have begun my Megadeth crave. Megadeth has ginally gotten out of that "fans-like-us-so-we'll-change-our-style-of-music" trend that Metallica has fell in so deeply and, sadly, can't get out. Back to good ol' fashioned metal that reminds me of Countdown (I wonder why the song Countdown wasn't on the album) and Youthanmasia (though a few more from that album would be highly appricated) VIC RATTLEHEAD FOR PRESIDENT!"
