CD Reviews

Solid Lounge, 60's, Jazzy Sound

"I first heard their track thanks to a Nueva Bossa Nova cd. Remixed on that CD was "Tic Tac", the sexy, Brazilian/French vibe song as interpreted by Nicola Conte. Out of curiousity, I figured I'd check out their full length album.I wasn't very disappointed at all, considering I hardly knew what to expect. It's not really Bossa at all. It's really just lounge - the French sort of lounge. I think the best way I can describe this CD is to think of De-Phazz's Godsdog. It is similar, maybe like a mix between that CD and Raccoon's Universal vibes. Some of the tracks are airy and light, others are just, well, loungish and cheesy. Either way, you can put this disc in and enjoy. The best songs, in my opinion, are Tic Tac, The Upper Lefthand Corner of the Sky nad Lailove. Be warned, if you don't like Lounge or the 60's, 70's sounding Paris/Italian cafe sort of lounge (Easy Tempo like), you probably won't like this. In fact, I'd probably recommend getting De-PHazz if you're thinking about both - and unless you're a collecter, just wait and hear what will probably be better renditions of their work on various compilations. But if you're looking for something different, but a bit similar to De-Phazz, pick this up... if it makes a difference, Alex Gopher was involved in this release."

"i got the cd the day we were leaving for the beach.

it's the best cd to listen on the mexico city - acapulco highway.

the sun shines and you speed through the moutains with great easy beats and refreshing melodies.

from treat her groovy to smile a little smile. every song, although sometimes it sounds a bit repeating, has some beats or rythmes or i dunno what that makes you happy.

definitely a cd to have in the back of your car"
