Stevens is one of the best marimbists of our time!

"Leigh Howard Stevens takes simple childrens piano pieces and turns them into emotional and captivating marimba solos. The first piece is my personal favorite and though it is not that hard Stevens makes is exciting to listen to and to play. The other Debussy pieces besides Goliwog's Cakewalk can grow too repeatative over time. Other than those few pieces this is a fantastic cd, a "must have" for the trained marimbists and yet is still enjoyable for those with no marimba education. He demonstrates good roll qualaties and a very sharp technical aspect to the tougher pieces. Enjoy!"

Marimba When is a favorite among many marimbist and I do hope that amazon restocks this fantastic cd. If you are looking for a great cd, this one doesn't dissapoint."
