"If you love Marilyn Monroe, want to get to know the actresses music better or have only heard 1 or 2 songs, you will love and cherish this album. Every great hit from the movies is here. Most people probably wouldn't believe she could sing so well, but her voice just shines in this great collection of songs. My personal favorites in this collection are "Kiss" from the movie Niagara, "I wanna be loved by you" from the movie Some like it hot, and "diamond's are a girls best friend" from the movie Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Once you hear these great songs, you will then understand why Marilyn Monroe was voted one of the top preformers of her era."
Oooh, Marilyn !!!

"People were so struck by Marilyn Monroe's good looks they forgot at times that she was a rather good singer. This CD gives us a whopping 20 tracks of Marilyn singing her heart out; and you will be very pleased with this CD.

The CD track set begins with "I Wanna Be Loved By You." Marilyn coos and delivers this number with grace and style. The musical arrangement makes great use of the horns--awesome! The musical interlude bolsters the number, too. "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend" follows; and this classic Marilyn Monroe ballad shows us just how much sensuality Marilyn could infuse into a number to make it a romantic classic. The flawless piano and horns enhance the number, too. In addition, "My Heart Belongs To Daddy" sports a more modern musical intro and the male chorus helps to make "My Heart Belongs To Daddy" shine. Marilyn delivers this number without a superfluous note. Great!

"Two Little Girls From Little Rock" features Marilyn doing a wonderful duet with Jane Russell; and the melody charms you. The musical arrangement works well but it keeps in the background to highlight the ladies' vocals. I predict that you will enjoy "Two Little Girls From Little Rock" very, very much. "A Fine Romance" gets the royal treatment as Marilyn sings this to perfection; and "When Love Goes Wrong (Nothing Goes Right)" features Marilyn doing another duet with Jane Russell. "When Love Goes Wrong (Nothing Goes Right)" explores the doldrums women feel when their love affair goes sour. Excellent number!

"I'm Through With Love" has a great musical intro; and when Marilyn comes in this number really takes flight! Marilyn coos (and warbles a bit) to deliver this number as only she could. The strings on "I'm Through With Love" really help to enhance the beauty of this number. "Heat Wave" also begins with a massive musical flourish using drums, strings and percussion. The male chorus arrangement plays with the tempo a bit to make the number distinct different from other renditions of "Heat Wave." Very creative!

The CD ends fittingly with "Bye Bye Baby" from the movie Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Marilyn sings this better than anyone EVER could. This number proves without a doubt that Marilyn could compete with the best of them!

The liner notes give you the song credits but otherwise there's not much to them. The artwork reflects good judgment.

Marilyn Monroe proves her singing capacity on this CD with its generous 20 tracks. I highly recommend this CD for fans of Marilyn Monroe; and people who enjoy classic pop vocals will enjoy this album, too!

Great job, Marilyn! We miss you so much!
