Simply the best

"Compare to other mozart interpreter, I think Maria Joao Pires simply the best. It's just because the simple, the deep of the sound. I compare the Fantasia to the Ivo Pogorelich one and found that Maria version is more deep, slow and make me feel the sound. Even Uchida can't compare to her. She is the best!"

Not bad, but poor recording

"Pros:

- Excellent performance of sonata no 15, a little bit too fast I think.

Cons:

- I can hear hiss noise on the recording. Maybe the recording mic is not very high quality.

- The Steinway piano used in this CD produces poor sound.

"Found this old, dusty CD in a local store. The playing is superb and even though the recording is old the sound is excellent.

Hearing this CD has prompted me to buy her complete set, unfortunately it seems to be out of print so you'll have to hunt around."
