CD Reviews

The best Marduk !!

"This is the album that put Sweden's sons of satan on the map of extreme black metal !!On this album they achieved much more of what was expected, hatful artwork, blasting raw black metal songs, uncompromising hate for religons... this is it !!I remember picking this up in 96" and it remains one of top ten bm albums in my collection! After that came the Nightwing, also great album but it lacked something, perhaps song writing that Heaven shal burn possessed. If you decide to buy an album by this band, make sure it's this one !!"
Godlike black metal

"Do you like extremely unholy, satanic, evil, fast as hell brutal black metal? If you do you will both love and worship Marduk. This is the only Marduk CD I own so far and I was very impressed at the band's speed and technicality. The group sounds very tight and it sounds like they know what they are doing. The production is also pretty good one thing that is usually poor in black metal. Marduk is an above average black metal band that knows what they are doing, making awesome black metal for satan. In my opinion Marduk blows Mayhem away. Marduk is the band that everyone should be worshipping as one of the best black metal bands, not Mayhem, so go out and support Marduk. STAY METAL."

"This is the most captivating Black Metal album I've heard in a while. They really hit the nail on the head with this release. In my opinion, the songwriting is top notch. The song structures are focused and Legion's vocals are in fine form. The production is pretty clean making the listening experience even better. The riffs were the main element of this album that made me want to keep listening to it. In my mind, the guitar lines are very memorable. I think that the performances of all the band members were pulled of in an orderly fashion. I like to refer to it as "controlled chaos". All the cuts are very strong, but my favorite songs have to be "Beyond the grace of God", "Infernal eternal", and "Black tormentor of Satan". Those songs contain some VERY intoxicating riffs. Definetly give this one a try. I think it's one of the finest Black Metal offerings Sweden has to offer.UP THE IRONS AND THE INVERTED CRUCIFIXES!"
