"Marc Almond's voice is striking and I was quite surprised with how well he sings the Russian parts (he had to learn the Russian lyrics phonetically). He obviously put a great deal of effort into pronounciation. The album is sung in English & Russian. I've listened to Russian music since I was a child, and I agree with the Russians who suggested that he branch out into Russian songs...his style works perfectly with the melancholy spirit of the Russians. I've always admired his solo work, but this exceeds my expectations. I highly recommend this album!"
