Synopsis

Album Details
Forlorn, bittersweet single from the 2001 full-length 'Proxima Estacion ? Esperanza' became a smash across Europe during the summer. Here Chao, a native of Spain who was raised in France & was previously known for fronting Mano Negra, expounds on what it is he likes. His specialty is certainly Latin-alternative & folk tunesmithy, but to label him is to limit him, as his influences are many: punk, reggae, ska, Calypso, etc. Also features two additional tracks from 'Proxima'.

CD Reviews

Funny, special, refreshing!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"This song is really special and exotic. A little reggae on the edge, a lot of funny sounds too, I just love this! I have listened to the album but I bought the single instead because this is the best song of the album in my opinion. La Primavera (track 2) is a (short)extension of Me gustas tu. The same music with different lyrics, 1:52. (I don't know about track 3 since my copy only has two tracks.)
Usually this is not my kinda music but I really fell for Me gustas tu."
