Synopsis

Product Description
Since 1978, Magnum has been delighting European audiences with their high-energy, melodic rock/metal sound. With American ears now becoming atuned to these heady sounds in record numbers, the time has come to unleash the Magnum live experience upon the masses. This double CD was recorded in their native England in late 2007 and features the entire "Wings Of Heaven" album (their most successful release) performed in the live setting.

(5 out of 5 stars)

"There are things that you could wish deeply, but with little or no hope to be obtained... One of that is, for me, the opportunity to see live Magnum in Mexico. I am one die hard fan in Mexico, but is hard to me to know how many fans of Magnum exist here.

The only way to hear how Magnum sounds on stage is to buy these kind of records (I own every official live album of Magnum) and let my imagination see them as if they were in my living room. Historically, live records had a bad fame of sound quality that could translate the live experience as a nightmare (even if you really like the music that you bought). As time goes by, record quality in live scenarios has been improved suddenly. So far, sound quality is almost as good as studio quality and now really is worth to buy a live record without worrying so much about sound compromises or things like that.

I gave 5 stars to this album because a combination of achievements: 1st, the sound quality that is really good and, second, the song selection (only overtook by the 20th anniversary of "On A Storyteller's Night"). This album really worths and will pay every dime you paid for it. Really good work, really good visual design, really good sound, really good kinesthetic experiences. Definitely, a favorite."
