"The Ray of light singles (three editions here in Europe) was by far the best singles I bought last year. The single bonus-song, Has to be, is really beautyful and the dance-remixes on the two maxi-cd's just sets the dance-floor on fire! It was my favourite release last year (and as a dj, I buy alot of singles) and I really think YOU should buy ROL NOW! My rating? Silly question, five stars, what else?"

"By far the best club tracks of 1998. With remixes by William Orbit, Sasha, and Victor Calderone, this EP topped Billboard's Dance/Club playlist. She chose 3 popular DJ's to redo her "Ray Of Light" song, and they bring this rather mainstream pop tune further underground into the techno underworld. (Elitist Fatboy Slim declined collaborating with Madonna). The Ultra-Violet mix is actually the best and longest track, 10+ minutes of pure electronica bliss (complete with synthesizer backwash and 135 bassbeats and bleeps a minute), with Calderone's reworking coming in 2nd."
