"First of all, Luis Fonsi has got an especially wonderful voice. He has a whole lot more talent than many of the pop singers out there (Latino and non). Even his songs that are just "okay" sound like they are spun with gold when Luis sings them. The best word I could use to describe his style is "soaring." He is expressive, sensual and very infectious to listen to!



The far superior song on this single is "Secret" ("Amor Secreto" is the Spanish version of this song). Luis' intepretation is at once soft, smoothe and intensifies as the song progresses. What I would give to be the lucky lady he is singing this song for! Luis Fonsi doesn't whine when he brings emotional content to his songs (other pop singers could take their cue from this young man). Instead, he playfully, delicately and warmly sings as though he is directing his song to you and you alone.



"Keep My Cool" is, by far, the weaker song. I didn't care for that latin/fusion/cheesy electronic timbal mix thrown in with the standard dance club beat. If any man sang this song to me, I would leave him on the dance floor! Way too cheesy for my tastes. But, no hard feelings, Luis. Ya te quiero, papi! (I still love you, baby!)"
