CD Reviews

Skip this one, if you want to save money

"After hearing about another addition in louie devito's nyc undergroud party, I was hesitant to go and purchase it. His last volume, had great tracks, but tom many tracks that sounded the same.Spanning two discs, i was interested in seeing what tracks louie had this time around. Sadly, the songs on this cd once again seem to buld up and then disappointment. One song, that i was sure to be a great choice, was the new one from iio, "at the end". however, the remix that devito chose is the one that sounds the worst, opting to go for a more tribal sound, he chose the Johnny Vicious mix. He should have done everyone one a favor and gone for the more unique scumfrog mix.Next, Armin Van burin's Perpetuous Dreamer song " Sound of goodbye", a great song choice, but come on, the robbie rivera mix, you can't even understand the song anymore. Another, thing this cd has wrong with is, tracks that are too old to be passed on as new ones, like marc et claude's,"tremble",4 string's "take me away(into the night), mad'house "like a prayer", lasgo, "alone",and the hit of ibiza last year,Tim Deluxe featuring. Sam Obernik, "It Just won't do". this cd would have been fun to listen to, if it was released last year. The only thing , that will make people buy this cd, is the big white sticker in the front "Featuring: L'Italiano: The Italian Song". Save your selves, the agony, and money by not purchasing this cd."
Very dissapointed

"This CD absolutely sucks. There are maybe about seven songs out of the whole 28 that i will actually listen too. i dont know what happened, i have volumes 3 and 4 and they are the best Cd's out of my whole collection of electronic music. As being a big fan of Louie Devito he betterpick out some better songs. I dont know about anybody else but i like pure techno and trance on mmy cd's. Not stupid pop songs and old Madonna remakes.

"I admit, this cd is not Louie's best, but this cd is definitely not as awful as everyone makes it seem. You read the reviews on here and you would think this is Bob Denver's greatest hits remixed into club anthems. From my experience, the more you listen to this voulme, the more it grows on you. I at first thought disc 2 sucked, but then I listened to the whole thing when I was stuck in major traffic after work, and it's not that bad. It has a good mix of decent songs, some that you actually find yourself moving too as they go on. Disc 1 is pretty good, especially with the songs "In Your Eyes", "No One is Gonna Change You", "At the End", and my sleeper pick "Wonderland". I would recommend this cd to anyone who wants a club fix for songs that were out in late 2002."
