CD Reviews

Wait till you see them live!

"Last night, a friend called me and told me that LORDS was playing in about ten minutes at a local venue. I hadn't heard much of the album yet, as my friend had just gotten it the week before and i only heard it while with him, but i had heard clips and based on that i knew that this was a must-see show.

All I could remember from hearing them was thinking the guitar was like botch on punk pills, and the vocalist sounded like a really insane elvis that had a huge problem with organized religion... who wouldnt want to see that live?

haha.. well needless to say I hauled ass to the show, and about halfway there i realized i had no money and i couldnt live with myself if i didnt leave the show with a shirt and a poster, so i parked and ran all around downtown trying to find an ATM, only to realize i forgot my ATM card.. so.. well, long story short i went through a lot to get to this show, and i was pissed by the time that i got there, thinking to myself that the two songs they had left to play better be worth what i just experienced.

well, i must say these guys really kicked ass! while you couldnt hear the vocals, the show was still just so damn powerful- guitarist's two JCM800's, one JCM900, two mode four cabs and killer guitar chops delivered a brutal wall of sound that knocked me off my feet from the first note played.. the bassist was equally as impressive, with two cabs half the size of the stage.. needless to say, the show was LOUD! Everything was extremely tight and well put together, especially the drums. I'm really looking forward to getting into this album more-- and you all should check it out as well!"

"I can't believe I am the second person to review this CD! HA! This CD is nuts! I love it. I like to think this band sounds like Black Flag on 375 mg of Ephedrine.

Oh yea! It is on Jade Tree. So you know it's good!"
