Album Description

London Town, made in London in 1946, was the first major British Technicolor musical film. No expenses were spared, with director Wesley Ruggles, song composers Burke & Van Heusen, and musical director Tutti Camarata all imported from the U.S. The film starred a host of home-grown talent: comedian Sid Field, Greta Gynt, Tessie O?Shea, Kay Kendall, Beryl Davis, and the young Petula Clark. This CD soundtrack release celebrates the sixtieth anniversary of this important and historical British film!
