CD ReviewsThe best album out of Minnesota in the 15 years Timothy L. Fischer | phoenix, az United States | 03/15/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "I have about two minutes to spill this out so simply put, this album rocks. I recieved it when I was reviewing music for a local beat magazine around it's release date and it has stayed in constant rotation since.... What I can say about the importance of this is that I was given around 15 nationally released cd's a week for around a year, and this is the most listened to album in my collection from that period....
great acid jazz for feeling good, this disc makes gets played most when I am about to leave the house on a weekend to go rage out at a some skank hole bar I frequent and need that juice to pump me up..... Brad Ray, named after local Kung Fu Hippies frontman, is the song that sets this awesome scenery for me. Imagine Miles Davis doing a collaberation with the Commodores on half a states worth of molly. I don't much care for Ska music, but Becoming shows how good ska tunes can be when they are more jazz than punk inspired.... Gluesniffer is the song that you listen to at Marti Gras in the Big Easy 5 minutes before realizing that you need a methadone clinic more than a stack of pancakes.. E, my favorite cut, takes the awesome energy of Particle and throws in crazy horns, it justs launches , then teases, then jumps back in.... it makes you wanna go throw on a polyester shirt, toss a glow stick in your mouth and dry hump an underage girl with a pacifyer.... Trance, my friend, as long as it has a jazz funk back beat, will save our souls.... This album rules.,... buy it and prepare to live again...." |
