"Another ST. CLAIR classical music CD featuring the ubiquitous anonymous orchestra. This company claims that "...we have compiled an entertaining and educational recording which children will listen to time after time." Can't say how absolute such a statement is. Some of this stuff isn't the most approachable for any adult newcomer, let alone a small child.



This set should have FUN tunes on it, like the Minute Waltz, Marche Militaire, Mozart's opener from Eine Kleine Nachtmusik or his dozen variations on the 1761 French melody "Ah! vous dirai-je, Maman," which is more famously known as Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. No-- from the Great Amadeus our kiddies are spoonfed the lugubrious sections of his 40th symphony, Elvira Madigan, and a string quartet! Heady stuff, yes?



Perhaps this CD should be called "NAPPING TO THE CLASSICS." Just reading that playlist is sure knocking me out! Brahms Lullabye..... Four Seasons-Winter..... Al-bi--no---n.......zzzzzzzzzz.... (2½ twinkles)
