La VEL..... is an Australian based composer and songwriter with a stunning gift for writing evocative and unforgettable melodies. Some actually worked better as instrumentals as interpretation was then left completely to the imagination of the listener. The remarkable opening track is entitled Romanza with the French subtitle of Le Retour. It was inspired by the excitement of the return flight to Australia and La VEL's feeling of happiness and anticipation of the future. Romanza is structured as a series of episodes with each transporting the listener to a different, exciting place in a similar manner to the changing scenes of a movie.
