"I'm not a Broadway musical lover in general, but this recording is TERRIFIC! I've compared it to more contemporary versions, most notably the 1953 movie version with Ann Miller, and it remains the gold standard. Hysterically funny lyrics, great tunes, wonderful, operatic-style delivery in many cases. This version ...the original ... is so much bawdier (and yet classier) than any more modern one. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen!"
