"For the last decade New York native Kelis Rogers has been coming out with music outside of the box. Over the years she has blazed the way for the new generation with her ever-changing, always new & innovative style, along with her eclectic music style.
Although a lot of people have slept on Kelis and she is awfully underrated, you would not want a world without Kelis. A world without Kelis would entail a world with no Lady GaGa and definitely no Rihanna.
Before GaGa was the world's fashion icon, it was Kelis and Rihanna has swagger-jacked every last one of her recent hairstyles from Miss Kelis.
After a long hiatus, including a baby and a bitter divorce, Kelis is back and hopefully people don't sleep on her this time around.
Acapella is definitely more lyrically deep than that of her past releases, showing her growth as a woman in the four years she's been out of the loop for.
Although Kelis has always had some dance, electronic infused songs on past records, Acapella, produced by 2010's `it' producer David Guetta, is by far the most electronic she's gone. But before you say she's a sellout for getting on the Guetta wagon, you need to listen to the track. I guarantee you will not be disappointed and it is nothing like his other tracks out there.
