CD Reviews

Respect this album

(4 out of 5 stars)

"Everyone who dissed this album must understand three things, #1 - When Juvenile recorded this album, he had very little funding. He didn't record it in a state of the art studio like with 400 degreez. That is why his voice sounds different and is drowned out alot of times by the beats. #2 The main reason that it sounds different is the production of the album. It was not produced by Manni Fresh who now produces all Cash Money albums. It isn't even a Cash money Release, it was released by Warlock Records. #3 Like all artists do when they start at a young age, Juvenile has matured and his style has changed along with the rest of the rap world's. You have to remember that rap in 1994 (When this was originally released) sounds nothing like rap in 1999. Juvenile just changed his style to more of what the people wanted.I am not saying that this album is great and I am not saying that it is horable, I am just saying that before you criticize this album, know why it is not as good as his current releases. And if you still got beef, then you aint a true Juvenile fan."

(3 out of 5 stars)

"This one is basically the same as the original 95 release with the goofy album cover, hence the same number of stars. The MAIN difference is the beat for "Powder Bag." The original was simply ok, and I REALLY like this version MUCH better. As I said in the other review, ONLY TRU CASH MONEY AND JUVEY FANS CAN GET THIS ONE!"
