Synopsis

Product Description
The much anticipated sophomore release from young, soulful singer-songwriter Justin Nozuka. You I Wind Land And Sea will see a US release date of April 13, 2010.

The Toronto-via-New York City artist received much critical praise for hid debut, Holly, which showcased Nozuka s vocal ability and songwriting prowess, and was written between the ages of fifteen and seventeen. Building up Nozuka s soulful sound, You I Wind Land And Sea encompasses everything learned as a teenager while recording his debut, while chronicling his growth as a songwriter and artist. The twenty one year old Nozuka enlisted Holly producer Bill Bell the help him apply the experience of years spent touring the world with a full band and create an album that is grandiose, yet is distinctively Justin Nozuka.

After being named a VH1 You Oughta Know Artist On The Rise, and performing on national television (Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Good Morning America NOW), on John Mayer s annual Mayercraft cruise, and at the mtvU Woodie Awards in the past, Nozuka is poised to take 2010 by wind, land and sea.

"My step-daughter bought the CD and we didn't listen for a while. She kept mentioning something about it being a bit "slower" than his previous disc.

We are on vacation now and she brought the new one. We have been playing it over and over. My 11 year old loves number 3, I fell in love with number 1. My wife loves number 7 and my step-daughter has come to appreciate this CD more now that we all have fallen love with it. Now, all of the songs are moving all of us.

During one listen my wife said that each song gets better and better. The ones that didn't grab you the first time begin to come forward, while the ones that grabbed you stay constant or just continue to move you in new ways. One day on the way down from Canyon de Chelley to Tucson, I turned the CD player on knowing Justin was waiting. We'd listened to the CD 3 times in a row on the way up from Phoenix and a little bit the day before around town. I thought someone in the car would say, "Can we listen to something else?"

Nope. Everyone was right in step. This has continued, unusually so, right down into Tucson and while going about the city. Really quite a unique experience musically. You often find no one in the family is into the same artist at the same time. Even when forced to listen to some things in a car on a trip that you might not normally listen to, you don't usually get synchronicity of this kind.

There is something in this work for everyone. Pick up a copy today."
Nozuka's Taking Over Wind, Land, Sea & The Whole Musical Thi

"This is the first time I've listened to Justin Nozuka, but I think it's safe to say that at the age of 21, he's wise & talented beyond his years. And while his music isn't exactly original, he more than makes up for it with his adult contemporary soul. In fact, if one could describe the sound, I'd say it's 80s era pop and soul at some of its best. Legends like Lionel Ritchie & Billy Joel come to mind when likening Nozuka, and that can only be a good thing. Sure, a lot of credit goes to the stellar production values, but at its heart, it's just a talented singer-songwriter. And that should be more than enough reason for you to at least check him out.

Overall, if I was picking the next artist to take over adult contemporary radio, I'd like to pick Justin Nozuka, but that almost seems below his level. His music is just too good to be on the radio, but with its radio-friendly musical and production values, there's a bit of a tug of war. But you know who wins in the end? Listeners and fans of Justin Nozuka.
