As its title suggests, Play a Little Prayer is a collection of ten songs based upon the theme of prayers -- but don't expect solemn oaths and Amen choruses. Drawing inspiration from North and West African, Native North American and Judeo-Christian teachings, both sacred and secular, the music reflects a rich blend of world music influences: African and Oriental percussion, jazz harmony, deep grooves, harmonious multi-lingual voices and dynamite solos from some of Canada's finest musicians.
