His new album 'Amar La Trama' (Love the Plot) focuses on the plot of the story rather than its final destination. For that passion, for the story plot for the space between the beginning and the end - he decided to rearrange how he recorded this album and made it in a peculiar way: he transformed a TV studio into a recording studio and for 4 days recorded his songs LIVE with an array of musicians in front of an audience. This way he worked without the pressure of the typical LIVE album and the coldness of a recording studio and also maintained the freshness of a LIVE band. In contrast with his prior albums there are no electronic instruments involved. This album is completely organic, with real instruments.
'Amar La Trama' sounds different, with the special and sincere warmth of elegant songs, with which Drexler keeps on demonstrating that he is the master in creating unforgettable melodies that come with a mix of urban rhythms and sounds from his native Uruguay, but without abandoning the concept of the songs and forgetting his music is popular music. Collaborations like Ben Sindram's voice and organ in the classic version of 'I Don't Worry About A Thing', Josemi Cardona's Spanish guitar in 'Los Transeuntes' and a beautiful duo with Leonor Watling in 'Toque De Queda'
