Radio personality and author Joni Eareckson Tada's foray into music hammers home a formula for living best summed up by her song titles: "The Only Way to Heaven," "Love God with All Your Heart," "One True God." Which is fine if your pre-Sunday-school VeggieTales records are played out, but this may not be a smart choice for a young child?s first religious probings. What?s missing is playfulness. Not only are we reminded more than once who's responsible and deserving of praise for fish that swim and birds that fly, but one song, "God Is Watching," is plain scary, with its references to slaying giants, slinging stones, and the faithful finding their way out of deathly hot furnaces. Since keeping the faith, not keeping it real musically, is the point here, the synth-heavy '80s pop sound shouldn't put out Tada's fans, and the games and puzzles that pop up when the disc's inserted in a computer do their part to pull reluctant or curious kids into the say-your-prayers and praise-Him-heavy picture. --Tammy La Gorce
